Donna E. Carroll-Mendes

NORTHBRIDGE - Donna E. Carroll-Mendes, 45, of Northbridge and formerly of Upton, died Friday morning, November 24, 2006 in Milford Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ms. Carroll-Mendes was born in Worcester, the daughter of Donald S. and Maria M. "Leni" (Demmel) Carroll of Upton. A graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School, she earned a degree in business administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI and had worked as a nurses' aide at the former Knowlton Manor Nursing Home/Upton Nursing Center in Upton for 25 years.
In addition to her parents, she leaves two children, Elizabeth and Derek Mendes of Northbridge.
If desired, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Bone Cancer Research, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Maple Ave., West Upton.Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
