Donald W. Champagne

Donald W. Champagne, 65, of Woonsocket, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Diane M. (LeBlanc) Champagne to whom he was married for 43 years. Our family and friends have lost the glue that bound us all together.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Roland and Constance (Laquerre) Champagne. He was raised and educated in Bellingham and was a 1975 graduate of Bellingham High School. He also attended R.I Trade Shop Schools.

Donny formerly worked as a manager at Mystic Scenic Studios, was the former co-owner of Champagne’s Casual Wear, and recently retired from the maintenance department at the YMCA in Smithfield.

He enjoyed woodworking, camping and NASCAR.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Amanda D. Champagne of Woonsocket; two brothers, Ronald Champagne and his significant other, Jane, of Burrillville and Paul Champagne and his wife, Nancy, of Bellingham, one sister, Rachel McCambridge of Florida; a sister-in-law, Crystal Champagne of Burrillville, two brothers-in-law, Steven LeBlanc and his wife, Peggy, of Bellingham and Jay LeBlanc and his wife, Donna, of Blackstone and two grandchildren, Khaiza and Lexington Navarro.

He was predeceased by his brother, Twig Champagne.

Services have been held.
