David A. Jones, 57, a longtime Upton resident, died early Monday, September 27, surrounded by his family in Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Linda (Skeans) Jones.
Mr. Jones was born in Medway, a son of Harold Jones and Janet (Smith) Jones, both of Medway. He was a 1971 graduate of Medway High School and worked as a welder for Thomas Smith of Worcester for many years. He was an annual volunteer for the Upton Police Dept. Fishing Derby and recently realized his longtime dream of moving to Las Vegas.
In addition to his wife of 39 years and his parents, he leaves four children, Jennifer Goulart of Chepachet, RI, Edward Jones of Ashland, Kimberley Jones of Woonsocket, RI, and Jonathan Jones of Worcester; a brother, Brian Jones of Las Vegas; two sisters, Nancy Preis of Cambridge and Natalie Butler of Boston; and seven grandchildren.

Service Details
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the
Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
