David G. Clark, 86, of Upton, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in St. Francis Nursing Center in Worcester after a long period of declining health. He was the husband of Carol A. (Babbitt) Clark.
Mr. Clark was born in Milford, a son of the late H. Homer and Frances (Freeman) Clark, and had lived in Upton most of his life. He was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Pacific. He worked at Bay State Abrasives in Westborough for 38 years, retiring in 1989.
A member of the United Parish of Upton, the George L. Wood VFW Post, and Franklin Lodge of Masons in Grafton, he participated in the Upton Men's Bowling League for many years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Scott D. Clark, and a daughter, Wendy L. Clark, all of Upton; a sister, Shirley Caputo of Westborough; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gretchen Hammond and Alger Clark.
Service Details
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, at 11 a.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton
with the Rev. Jan Gregory-Charpentier officiating.
A calling hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton will be at the convenience of the family.
