David A. Brassor 80, of Mendon, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Parente) Brassor.
Born in Washington, DC, February 27, 1935, the only child of Edward J. and Grace M. (Lavigne) Brassor, he was raised and educated in Natick. Following graduation from high school, Dave attended and graduated from East Coast Aero Tech. He went to work for the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in Connecticut, where he worked in maintenance for new and old helicopters.
In 1960, he was invited to join the sales representative branch of the Boyertown Casket Co. Initially working out of the main operations center in New York, he was chosen to become the greater Boston and New England sales representative. The first New England showroom and warehouse was established in Franklin on Cottage Street. He worked out of the Cottage St. location until 1974, when the company closed its office. After working for Boyertown in California for a few years, he decided to return to this area and establish his own company. He established the David A. Brassor Casket Co., first on Jefferson St. in Milford, and then after needing more space, he moved the company to a larger custom designed facility in Upton. David retired from the business in 2001.
He was a member of the New England Funeral Suppliers Association, and was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in Upton.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years, is his daughter Sandra A. "Sandy" Wish and her husband Peter of Milford, an aunt, Constance Wallin of Brattleboro, VT, his father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Anna (Oneschuk) Parente of Milford, a sister-in-law, Marcia Parchesky of Milford, 2 nieces, 3 grand nieces, several cousins, and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday Dec. 28th at 9:45 a.m.
from the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home 45 Main St. Upton,
with a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.
in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 151 Mendon St. Upton.
Interment will follow in the family lot at Hopedale Village Cemetery, Route 16, Hopedale.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
