Daniel F. Whitney, Jr

Daniel F. Whitney, Jr., 70, of Millbury and formerly of Grafton and Milford, died Thursday, October 15, 2009 in Millbury Healthcare Center after a long illness.
Mr. Whitney was born in Milford, a son of the late Daniel F. and Borghild (Hoel) Whitney, and was a 1962 graduate of Worcester Junior College. Before becoming disabled many years ago, he had worked for several area companies, including Norton Company, Whitin Machine Works, Bay State Abrasives, and Hill Food Service. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford and the Grafton Grange, and had been affiliated with Crossroads Club House in Hopedale for many years.
He leaves five children, Heidi B. Dion and her husband Richard of Grafton, Beth A. Mattson and her husband Bruce of Uxbridge, Seth D. Whitney of Grafton, Andrew J. Whitney and his wife Kathy of Douglas, and Matthew J. Whitney and his wife Denise of Upton; two brothers, Richard H. Whitney of North Grafton and Bruce A. Whitney of Grafton; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Donna M. Sbrogna.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Grafton.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.There are no calling hours.
