Connie L. (Arkland) Peterson, 52, of Upton, died early Friday, February 27, 2015. She was the wife of Cristopher P. Peterson and had worked as a technology consultant, photographer and massage therapist.
Connie was born in Boulder, CO, a daughter of Bradley Arkland of Mesa, AZ and Caroline (Picker) Arkland of Boulder. She attended the University of Colorado, and had lived in Milford before coming to Upton 24 years ago. She was committed to the practice of yoga and recently became a certified body worker and massage therapist as part of her passion for helping others to live healthy lives.
In addition to her husband of 26 years and her parents; she leaves a daughter, Lea Peterson of Upton; and a sister, Marcy Reid of Elizabeth, CO.
As a memorial to Connie, a team of riders including Cristopher and Lea will be riding in the Pan Mass Challenge from Wellesley to Provincetown the first week of August. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Pan Mass Challenge in support of Connie's riding team, Big Lion (www.pmc.org/TB0259). 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Service Details
Following cremation, a private celebration of Connie's life
will be held at the convenience of the family.
