Charles M. Shanahan

Charles M. Shanahan, 81, of Upton, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge after an illness. His wife of 49 years, Joan E. (Delaney) Shanahan, died six months ago.
Charlie was born in Milford, a son of the late Charles J. and Geraldine R. (Murphy) Shanahan. He was a graduate of Milford High School and a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked as an inspector and mechanical technician for Corning Glass Works for many years and then as an artist and painter until retiring several years ago. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his wife in Florida and loved sailing.
He leaves a brother David Shanahan, a sister Mary Adams, and his sister-in-law Mary Delaney. He was also the brother of the late Joseph, Gerald, and John Shanahan.

Service Details
Following cremation, graveside services with military honorswill be held on Monday, October 16th at 1 p.m.
