Carl W. Porter, Jr.

Carl W. Porter, Jr.,80, of Upton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, in the Westborough Healthcare after a brief illness.

Born in Milford, he was a son of the late Carl Sr. and Eunice (Claflin) Porter and was raised in Upton.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Porter was employed for over 40 years for the Town of Upton Highway and Cemetery Departments.

Carl enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, playing bingo, and adored dogs his entire life.

He is survived by his brother, Richard Porter and is wife Juliet, of North Grafton, his nephew, Glen Porter and his wife Courtney, of Holden, and his great nieces and nephews, Katherine, Isaac, Hannah, and Eli.

His funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, October 8, in the Pickering & Son Upton Funeral Home, 45 Main St. Upton.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville.

A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM in the funeral home prior to the service.
