With her beloved children at her side, Beverly Ann DeWolfe died in Wells, Maine, on July 12, 2023, from complications of Alzheimer’s. She was born in South Boston, Massachusetts, on November 21, 1941. She was the third child of Edward and Margaret Hill and spent her childhood in South Boston and Hopkinton, Massachusetts. She graduated from South Boston High School, where she was a cheerleader. Beverly met her future husband, Frederick DeWolfe, at a snack bar one summer day in Hopkinton. They were married in 1959 and had two children, Scott DeWolfe, and Sandi DeWolfe Klinkhamer. Bev and Fred lived in Northborough, Upton, and Rehoboth, Massachusetts, and Estero, Florida. For twenty years, they spent their summers at their much-loved home in Upper Amherst Cove, Newfoundland, surrounded by family and friends.
Bev worked for many years in the Admissions Department of Saint Marks School. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, dancing, and caring for her kids and grandkids. She was always the life of the party with a quick wit and seemingly endless energy. She never said no to ice cream.
