Betty C. (Bragg) O'Connell

Betty C. (Bragg) O'Connell, 80, of Upton, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 14, 2015 after a brief illness. She was the widow of James R. O'Connell, who died in 1991.
Mrs. O'Connell was born in Wayland, a daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Jeffery) Bragg. She was a homemaker who lived in Pennsylvania and Chatham before coming to Upton in 1995. She was a member of the United Parish of Upton, where she sang in the choir, and had also been a member of the Upton Woman's Club and served on the Upton Board of Library Trustees.
She leaves four children, Daniel O'Connell and his wife Cynthia of Perkasie, PA, Cynthia Rogers and her husband Stephen of Upton, Darrell O'Connell and his wife Staci of Simi Valley, CA, and Nancy Moyer and her husband Tim of Plymouth Meeting, PA; a sister, Barbara Gleason of Putnam, CT; nine grandchildren, Andrew O'Connell, Lisa Renner, Jennifer, Daniel, and Jeffrey Rogers, Kayla O'Connell, and Kelly, Lindsey, and Haley Moyer; and two great-grandchildren, Trent and Ethan Renner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the United Parish Deacons Fund, Box 382, Upton, MA 01568 would be appreciated.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19,
at 11 a.m. in the United Parish Church, 1 Church Street, Upton,
with a reception in the church hall to follow.

Following cremation, private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19,
