UPTON - Beatrice L. (Negus) Perkins, 93, a lifelong Upton resident, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Milford where she had been a patient since August. She was the widow of Leslie E. Perkins, who died in 1975.
Mrs. Perkins was born in Upton, the daughter of the late Harry E. and Julia (Noe) Negus. A member of the Class of 1933 of the former St. Mary's High School in Milford, she was a hat worker at the former Kartiganer Hat Company for many years and also worked as a kitchen aide at the Milford Medical Home. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and a member of the Upton Woman's Club and the Friends of Upton Elders. She also volunteered her time as a companion through Tri Valley Elder Services.
She leaves one son, Leslie E. Perkins, Jr., of Lantana, FL; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Another son, David E. Perkins, died in 1995.

Service Details
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007
in Holy Angels Church, 1 Milford St., Upton.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
