Arthur J. Cote, 74, of Upton, died early Friday, May 25, 2007, in the Veterans' Administration Hospital in West Roxbury. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Snow) Cote, with whom he was married for 52 years.
Mr. Cote was born in Upton, a son of the late Joseph A. and Antoinette (Page) Cote, and was a lifelong resident of the town. He was a Korean War veteran, who attained the rank of sergeant with the U. S. Marine Corps and was a member and past commander of the George L. Wood VFW Post in Upton. He worked in construction for Cutler Associates in Worcester for many years before retiring in 1989.
In addition to his wife, he leaves five sons, Arthur J. Cote, Jr. and his wife Robin of Ashland, Michael S. Cote and Richard K. Cote and his wife Tina of Upton, Jeffrey S. Cote and his wife Lori of Northbridge, and Steven C. Cote of Milford; one daughter, Kimberly A. Cote of Upton; three sisters, Muriel Brochu of Upton and Lillian and Doris Benoit of St. Cloud, FL; and five grandchildren. Another daughter, Cathy Cote, died in 1959. He was also the brother of the late Jeannette Brozeau and Wilfred Cote.

Service Details
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31, at 10 a.m.
in the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, Upton, with
Rev. Laurance Brault, pastor of Holy Angels Parish, officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Maple Ave., West Upton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, May 30, from 7 to 9 p.m.
