She was a Eucharistic Minister at the former Holy Angels Parish in Upton, and a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish. She had been a member of Crusillo, and was a CCD teacher for almost 40 years. Anne loved hearing from former students.
Her volunteer work also included being a Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad litem (CASA/GAL), and a Foster Care Reviewer with the DHHS. She was also often called upon to drive the elderly to doctor appointments well into her 80's.
She leaves her 8 children, and her much loved sons and daughters-in-law: Philip Mahler and his wife Margot of Carlisle, Keith Mahler and his wife Linda of Hampton, NH, Leslie Ardison of Westminster, Janet Carter of Whitinsville, Evelyn Enos and her husband David of Oakham, Andrew Mahler and his wife Anne of Webster, Peter Mahler of Grafton, and Dana Claflin and her husband Ron of Uxbridge; a sister Bernice Garnett of Ventura, CA; sister-in-law Alice McInerney; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
