Allan W. McKinstry, 75, of Upton, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 in Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford after a long illness. He was the husband of Gladys McKinstry and a retired postal carrier.
Born in Worcester, he was a son of the late W. Frank and Doris (Kilburn) McKinstry. He grew up in Sterling, graduated from Leominster High School, and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. A resident of Upton for the past 50 years, he worked for the Framingham Post Office for many years and had previously been a linotype operator in the area and for the Milford Daily News for several years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Allan W. McKinstry, Jr. and his wife Darleen of Richmond, NH, Robert McKinstry of Worcester, and Glenn McKinstry of So. Grafton; a daughter, Janice Mosko and her husband Jack of Woburn; 5 grandchildren, Kyla McKinstry with the USCG in NC, Erika McKinstry of Southbridge, Cameron McKinstry of Grafton, and Jacqueline and Jillian Mosko of Woburn; and a great-grandson, Tyler Litchfield of Southbridge. He was also the brother of the late Richard McKinstry and stepson of the late Theresa (Montgomery) McKinstry.

Service Details
Funeral services Wednesday, February 21 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Bruce Johnson of the Community Covenant Church of Hopkinton officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Sterling.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
