Albert J. Bradley, 89, a former long-time Upton resident, died Saturday, January 6, 2007, in the Geriatric Authority of Milford, where he had resided for the past six years. His wife of 57 years, Dorothy J. (Varney) Bradley, died in 2003.
Mr. Bradley was born in Milford, a son of the late John and Annie (Dunn) Bradley. He grew up in Milford and was an Army veteran of World War II who served in Europe as a staff sergeant with Troop A, First Constabulary Squadron and earned a WWII Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal. He had lived in Upton since 1956.
He was an arc welder for Fenwal Controls in Ashland for 24 years, retiring in 1982. He then worked at Coach Road Apartments in Upton for several years. A communicant of Holy Angels Parish, he was also a member of the George L. Wood VFW Post and the Upton Men's Bowling League.
He leaves one son, Thomas Bradley and his wife Linda of Uxbridge; a daughter, Marsha Lambert and her husband Armand of Upton; and seven grandchildren, Eric Lambert of Oxford, Corey Lambert of North Attleboro, Stacey Carlson of Worcester, Robin Lambert of Upton, and Sharon Cugini and Meghan and Tracy Bradley, all of Uxbridge. Another daughter, Kathleen Cugini, died in 1994. He was also the brother of the late Mary Callery and John and Elmer Bradley.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Milford Geriatric Authority Activities Fund, 1 Countryside Drive, Milford 01757.

Funeral services Wednesday, January 10, from the funeral home
with a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church,
Milford Street, Upton.
Following cremation, burial at the convenience of the family
in Lakeview Cemetery in Upton.
Calling hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
